Nestled between the Drum Hills and the River Blackwater the village of Clashmore is distinguished by it's brightly coloured houses and wealth of historical points of interest, such as the early 19th century Clashmore Distillery and the site of a 7th century abbey founded by St. Mocuha, on which now sits the striking Heritage Centre building.

It is located within an area renowned for it's fishing, watersports & golf clubs aswell as some breathtaking local walks. Because of it's close proximity, the area is indelibly associated with the River Blackwater (An Abha Mhór) which dictated much of the trade and fortunes of local people over the centuries.

From Waterford Take the N25 route to Cork, by-passing Dungarvan, proceed along the N25 before taking a right hand turn at Piltown Cross onto the R671 which will bring you directly into Clashmore. From Cork Take the N25 route to Waterford, by-passing Youghal, continue on the N25 and cross over the River Blackwater at Youghal Bridge before taking a left turn at Piltown Cross onto the R671 route which will take you directly into Clashmore.
